Product Description

52# National standard wax chlorinated paraffin, is a mixture of chlorinated alkanes made from liquid paraffin containing 95% of straight chain n-alkanes by chlorination reaction. Different types of products are distinguished according to the amount of chlorine content. For example, liquid paraffin waxes with an average carbon chain number of 12 or 15 are used as raw material and the product with a chlorine content of 52% + 2% is called "chlorinated paraffin-52".
Chlorinated paraffin-52 is mainly used as an auxiliary plasticiser for polyvinyl chloride as a partial replacement for dibutyl phthalate and dioctyl phthalate, and its plasticising properties are lower than those of the main plasticiser, but it increases electrical insulation and flame resistance and increases tensile strength. The disadvantages are poor ageing resistance and low temperature resistance, poor secondary recycling and reuse, and high viscosity.
